Adidas Size Guide

2 min read · Updated July 1, 2026

Adidas fit is more consistent than Nike's across lines, but two silhouettes — Ultraboost and Samba — need specific handling. Everything else runs close to true.

Performance running: true to size, narrow

Ultraboost, Adizero and Solarboost all fit true to size in length but run slightly narrower than Nike's equivalent. Wide-footed runners size up half a size or select the Wide variant when offered.

Originals: mostly true, with exceptions

EU labeling uses half sizes

Unlike traditional EU sizing, Adidas prints half sizes (42, 42.5, 43, 43.5). Match the US size and read the EU label as-is; don't try to round.

Terrex: size up for socks

The Terrex outdoor line runs true to size in warm-weather footwear but tight in insulated boots. For winter Terrex, size up half a size to accommodate a thicker sock.

Frequently asked questions

Does Samba really run large?
Yes. Most wearers go down half a size, especially the OG and Classic. The Samba XLG runs closer to true.
Are Ultraboost and Pegasus interchangeable in size?
In length, yes. Ultraboost is narrower — if Pegasus fits you snugly, Ultraboost may feel tight.
