Germany sizes

Standard EU · DIN 66401

Germany follows the generic EU chart for both clothing and shoes. Fit is typically true to label.

Women's clothing

= EU standard

Kids' clothing

Height in cm (86, 92, 98, 104)

Shoe scale

Standard EU (Paris Point)

German brands (Adidas, Puma, Boss, s.Oliver) use the standard EU numeric chart. Women's EU 38 = US 8; men's EU 50 = US 40 chest.

German outdoor and workwear brands (Jack Wolfskin, Engelbert Strauss) tend to be true to size with slightly longer sleeves.

Common pitfalls

  • German 'Konfektionsgröße' is the same as EU number — don't overthink it.
  • Kids' clothing is labeled by body height in cm (98, 104, 110, 116...).
